On-campus first-year resident
Enrolled students may purchase available permits. Bayou Oaks, Cullen Oaks, and Cambridge Oaks residents need an apartment permit and must send Parking and Transportation a lease agreement.

Any enrolled student may select an available student permit on a first-come, first-served basis; commuters remain subject to the 72-hour vehicle-storage limit.

There is no separate upperclass rule. Any enrolled upperclass student may buy an available zone, garage, evening, or other eligible semester permit on the same first-come basis.

A UH ADA permit plus the student's state or county-issued disability placard or plate provides access to unreserved ADA spaces campus-wide and, when those are full, non-restricted spaces in the same facility. Temporary student accommodations go through the Dart Student Accessibility Center.
